How do I enroll? Directions to the ACTU located at 4570 Children's Place, St. Louis, MO 63110 Step 1: Call (314) 454-0058  to speak with a nurse. The nurse will ask you some questions about your health status over the phone and schedule an appointment that best fits the clinic and your schedule.          Step 2: Arrive at the clinic for your scheduled appointment. This first appointment is a screening visit which includes a medical history, blood tests, and discussion about clinical trials. This visit provides you with the opportunity to see the clinic environment, meet the staff and ask any questions you may have.                  Step 3: Arrive at the clinic for your second scheduled appointment. At this time the nurse will share your test results with you and explain what they mean. Usually it is determined by now if you are eligible for a trial. The trial will be explained in depth and time given to you to ask questions and think about enrolling in the trial. You will know what is required to participate, the benefits and the risks associated with participation. You will receive a copy of the consent form for the study to read and discuss with your primary healthcare provider.         Step 4: The decision is made by you whether or not to participate in a clinical trial. You are encouraged to involve your primary heath care provider in the decision process and your family and/or loved ones. Your participation may involve taking the medicines provided by the clinic and returning to the clinic for follow-up visits.
