Kristin E. Mondy, M.D.


Biosketch

Dr. Mondy received her Sc.B. from Brown University and her M.D. from University of Texas Southwestern. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University. She was in private practice in St. Louis for nearly two years and recently joined the Infectious Diseases faculty of Washington University in July 2004. She is currently an Instructor in Medicine at both Washington University and the John Cochran VAMC.

 

Research Interests

My primary research interests are in the area of HIV-related metabolic complications. I have ongoing research in complications related to antiretroviral therapies including lipodystrophy, insulin resistance, and bone metabolic complications. I am also involved in other HIV-related studies at the Washington University AIDS Clinical Trials Unit including a study of the natural history of HIV disease with antiretroviral therapy and other metabolic studies. Non-HIV interests include the epidemiology and treatment of resistant pathogens such as VRE and resistant Candida.
